About the Author
Born March 14, 1953 in Tylertown, Mississippi, Ottie Carroll or O.C. Davis, better known by his friends as Ole Crazy, is retired and lives in Maryville, Tennessee. O.C. has written six books including a controversial three-book series entitled AWAKENINGS. O.C. is divorced and has two sons and six grandchildren. Besides writing, O.C. enjoys reading, gardening, yoga, meditating, classic rock and college football. O.C. became passionate about writing after a near-death experience in 2016 sent him searching for truthful answers about earth, life, afterlife, the bible and many other questionable topics.

AWAKENINGS
A brief look at the first six chapters
Chapter 1
I sometimes catch myself gazing up at the heavens when I go outside at night. I guess I’m expecting to see something I wouldn’t expect, like a shooting star, a planet or maybe a UFO. I’m not a conspiracy theorist or some nut case, but I am prepared to tell you that things aren’t always as they appear. We can’t always rely on what others have told us about certain things, like God, our ancient ancestry, our future and what choices we can expect after death. We have to keep an open mind, think for ourselves, and dare to search for truth.
Chapter 2
There is only One True God; the “Invisible Spirit”; ultimate consciousness; the Creator of the Universe and all that is within it. God is powerful eternal energy of the highest form; not affected by time or space; He resides both inside and outside the Universe. We should not think of Him as a god or like a god; for He is greater than a god because He has nothing or no one over Him, and no lord above Him. He does not (exist) within anything inferior to Him, since everything exists within Him, for he established himself. He is eternal, since He does not need anything, for He is absolutely complete and has never lacked anything in order to be completed by Him. Rather He is always absolutely completely in light.
Chapter 3
The Bible is more than just a religious book. It contains history, genealogy, historical dates, alien encounters and abductions, miracles, instructions, laws and commandments, mysteries, and visions and prophecies.
Now hear this; “THE BIBLE WAS WRITTEN TO AND FOR THE PEOPLE WHO LIVED BEFORE OUR TIME.” Supposing man’s history began approximately six thousand years ago as assumed, and the Old Covenant was fulfilled and completed in the first century A.D., and the Bible completed by the end of the first century as well; and all the Old Testament prophecies were fulfilled including but not limited to Isaiah, Ezekiel, Daniel, Jeremiah, the Apostle John and Jesus himself. It was an episode in time that span around 2000 years.
All the words in the Bible were written for the benefit of ancient people who have since died two thousand years ago. Does that mean the Bible is not intended for us? No, it means that particular Age and its history have passed, and we now live in the Age of Christ.
Chapter 4
The Bible is a history book of the Jewish people that spans around 2000 years and shares very similar stories with older versions from other literary works. Given its immense reach and cultural influence, it’s a bit surprising how little we really know about the Bible’s origins. In other words, who really wrote (penned) the Bible? Of all the mysteries surrounding the Bible that one may be the most fascinating.
We’re not completely ignorant, of course. Some books of the Bible were written in the clear light of history, and their authorship isn’t terribly controversial. Other books can be reliably dated to a given period by either internal clue; sort of the way no books written in the 1700s mention airplanes, and by their literary style, which develops over time.
Chapter 5
There is an older version of the creation story found in the Sumerian text called the Eridu Genesis; it precedes the Bible creation story by 3500 years. The stories are quite similar both including Eden, and Adam and Eve.
When it comes to stories contained within the Bible, it’s not a stretch to assume they are half-truths. One story in particular is worth focusing on more than others: The Garden of Eden. We have to cover a number of aspects in order to paint a full picture of the misunderstandings and misinterpretations.
When it comes to misunderstandings, misinterpretations and mistranslations, the Bible would be the best example of all three. There isn’t another book on this planet which has strayed so far from the story’s original meaning. So let’s take a look at what exactly the Bible gets wrong.
Chapter 6
A belief that human beings contain a piece of God within themselves.
The Gnostics put more emphasis on personal spiritual knowledge (gnosis) above the orthodox teachings, traditions and authority of traditional religious institutions.
The Gnostics believed that the human intellect could experience gnosis, that is, acquaintance with God, within this mortal life, however fleetingly. They portrayed this experience primarily as an ascent to higher knowledge that was both intellectual and cosmic. Intellectually, the Gnostics could ascend by contemplating increasingly abstract levels of existence, starting by understanding one’s own existence and that of other divine beings, advancing to the contemplation of higher aeons, ultimately the Barbelo, and attempting to gain some imperfect acquaintance with the ineffable first principle, the Invisible Spirit.
